What is the B1 level?
Level B1 corresponds to independent users of the language, i.e. those who have the necessary fluency to communicate without effort with native speakers.

English B1 Level Certificate
B1 is the intermediate level in language learning. By this point, the person should have the necessary fluency to communicate with native English speakers on familiar topics. A B1 level in English, therefore, corresponds to a more independent user of the language.
English level B1 is the third level of English in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), a definition of different language levels written by the Council of Europe. In everyday speech, this level would be called “intermediate”, and indeed, that is the official level descriptor in the CEFR.

B visa length of stay
B1 and B2 visa holders are allowed to stay in the US for up to 6 months at a time. Each visa application will be assessed on its own merit, and the adjudicating officer may grant a stay of less than 6 months – this is the maximum period for an initial stay under the B classification.
Passing the B1 writing exam is not an easy task. You need advanced preparations to successfully complete this English test. Languages are the most complex subjects. You need lots of patience and practice to learn a new language.

Generally speaking, a B1 visa is for business-related projects, while a B2 visa is for tourism and pleasure-travel. The government can also issue a B1/B2 visa to business travelers who plan to travel within the US for tourist activities during their stay in the United States.

Studieskolen's English levels are divided into basic level A1-A2, pre-intermediate level B1, intermediate level B1+, upper-intermediate level B2 and B2+, advanced level C1 and proficient level C2. The levels are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The C1 gets brighter, but the difference isn't very noticeable. The C1 also has a wider refresh rate range because it has low frame rate compensation that allows the VRR to drop below 40Hz, which the B1 doesn't have. The B1 has much better gradient handling, so there's less banding in HDR content.

Skills at B1 English level (intermediate)
They can understand the main points of clear texts on familiar topics in standard language. They can manage most situations on a trip to places where English is used.
The LG B2 OLED has more features than the LG A1 OLED, so if you're a gamer and need HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and VRR support, the B2 is the better choice. The B2 also performs better in well-lit rooms as it gets brighter, and highlights pop more in HDR.

Do I need B1 for citizenship?
You can use a B1 level qualification that's run out if you're applying for citizenship and it was accepted when you settled in the UK. It does not matter if the B1 level test you took is not on the current list of recognised tests. You do not need to take another test.

If you want to increase your level from B1 to C1, there are a few things you can do. First, make sure you are familiar with the CEFR guidelines. Second, find materials that are at your level and challenge yourself. Third, practice regularly with other people who are at your level or higher.

Which is better A1 or B1?
The LG B1 OLED is a higher-end TV than the LG A1 OLED, so it performs better overall. They deliver similar exceptional picture quality thanks to their OLED panels, and even though the B1 gets brighter, it's not a significant difference.

The LG A1 OLED and the LG C1 OLED deliver very similar picture quality but differ in the extra features available. The C1 is a better gaming TV, with four HDMI 2.1 ports, support for variable refresh rate technology (VRR), and a 120Hz refresh rate.
A C1 is someone who knows "more than most" non-natives, and would be considered an "expert" in the language, but without the full mastery of a C2.

The B2 is the better choice if you need something to use in a well-lit room because it gets brighter in SDR. However, their HDR brightness is similar, and the C1 has better gradient handling, so if you watch HDR content, it's better to go for the C1.

You can see that an IELTS band score of 7.0 is equivalent to a CEFR level of C1, and an IELTS band score of 4.5 is equivalent to a CEFR level of B1.
